PT KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - Japanese bookstore chain Kinokuniya has been getting into the Dragon Ball Super: Broly
hype lately. The company's Shinjuku branch is holding a "Dragon Ball
Super Fair" from December 1 to 20, which involves a mini-exhibit of the
manga art and a shop with exclusive goods. The fair celebrates the
Japanese release of the Dragon Ball Super: Broly film on December 14.
PT KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - Customers who purchase the January issue of Saikyō Jump (a bimonthly magazine that publishes several spinoffs of Weekly Shonen Jump properties) from the store will receive Dragon Ball Super: Broly sticker. Those who purchase any of the Dragon Ball comics or the January issue of V Jump (the magazine that publishes Dragon Ball Super) will receive a B4-sized Dragon Ball Super poster.
The exhibit space shows off framed artwork by Dragon Ball Super artist Toyotarō, including manga pages and full-color images.
The Dragon Ball Super Fair is being held with the cooperation of Shueisha. It is the second of three "collaboration fairs" that Kinokuniya has been holding with the publisher. The first fair, which was held from November 22 to 29, was dedicated to figure skater Yuzuru Hanyu. The third fair will be held from December 22 to January 6 and is called "Shueisha Flag Shop Kinokuniya."
Dragon Ball Super: Broly will open in the United States and Canada on January 16. Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama wrote the script and designed the characters. The film's story takes place after the events of the Dragon Ball Super television anime. The Dragon Ball Super manga is skipping the film's story, but a novel adaptation of the film shipped in Japan on Friday.
