Detective Conan's Latest Collab with Sho-Comi Magazine Includes 'Ikemen' Memo Pads

KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - Shogakukan's Sho-Comi shōjo magazine is once again getting a collaboration with one of manga's great shōnen heroes, Conan Edogawa from Detective Conan. In this year's eighth and ninth issues of the magazine (launching on March 20 and April 5, respectively), the issues will feature bonus goods inside, as well as a special appendix to each magazine. Both issues will feature Conan on the cover along with other characters from manga that run in Sho-Comi

The eighth issue will include "Ikemen Lines Memo" books featuring Conan Edogawa, Shūichi Akai, Tōru Amuro, Heiji Hattori, and Kaitō Kid. The pads will feature "heart-pounding lines" spoken by each of the characters.

The ninth issue will feature a clear file with an illustration of Conan and Tōru with a "cute café design."

The issues will also publish a two-part manga episode titled "Meitantei Conan: Tameshi Yomi BOOK" (Detective Conan: Custom Reading BOOK) that will star Tōru, in commemoration of the 22nd film in the franchise, Meitantei Conan Zero no Shikkōnin (Detective Conan: Zero's Executioner), which opens on April 13.

Last year's collaboration with Sho-Comi was also spread across two magazine issues. One issue featured a clear file and a collaboration booklet, and the other issue featured an "anything album" and "snapshot" images of Conan, Shinichi Kudō, and friends.

Other recent Detective Conan collaborations include a real-escape game at Universal Studios Japan, which is returning this year as part of the park's "Universal Cool Japan" event. Manga creator Gosho Aoyama also teamed up last year with Chihayafuru manga creator Yuki Suetsugu to create a collaborative illustration.

In August, Aoyama's original Detective Conan manga became the first series in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine to reach its 1,000th chapter.
