Avengers: Infinity War Video Looks at the 10-Year Legacy of the MCU

KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - The legacy of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is on full display in a new Avengers: Infinity War promo. Marvel Studios has drastically changed the movie industry since Iron Man debuted in theaters in 2008. Starting there, president Kevin Feige began to form the long term plan. That plan has played out over the last 10 years, with dozens of characters from Marvel comics making it to the big screen. After 10 years of basically nothing but hits, Marvel’s taking the time to celebrate.

KONTAK PERKASA FUTURES - Infinity War fittingly marks 10 years of the MCU, and it will bring together just about every single character in the process. Not only will the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers crossover, but they’ll do so to battle the villain Marvel’s teased the longest: Thanos. Still, it’s remarkable to see them deliver on the hope of a cinematic universe built like the comics.

That is the focus of the latest Infinity War promo released by Marvel, where producers, directors, and stars of the MCU discuss how this came to be. The video features plenty of interviews, but also a lot of behind-the-scenes clips. There’s no new footage from the crossover event, but it’s a great recap of what Marvel Studios has accomplished – while teasing what is yet to come.

What Marvel Studios has accomplished in its first 10 years is nothing short of remarkable. They changed the way rival studios think about creating a franchise, but so far no one has been able to replicate their success. They’ve made nearly $15 billion in 18 movies, with tracking for Infinity War pointing towards that total gross greatly increasing. With three films left in Phase 3 when Avengers 4 wraps things up, they still have Spider-Man: Homecoming 2Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and much more in the pipeline.

Even though Marvel’s legacy is already cemented, they’ll only continue to add to it. With whatever Phase 4 holds beyond the aforementioned films, they’re about to become even richer. The fact that the video ends with Brie Larson being confirmed as Captain Marvel should be an indicator that she’s (unsurprisingly) a big part of their future. Additionally, Fox and Disney already agreed on a deal that will see the X-Men and Fantastic Four be able to be brought into the MCU. With even more characters and stories potentially at their disposal soon, there’s no telling where they’ll go next, or just how high the studio will continue to climb.
